With
the possibility of sole possession of first place on the line both Sarnia
Cement and Lakeshore Optimists had to settle with a hard fought 3-3 tie leaving
both teams with 10 points apiece.
Vincent Lavoie scored all three Lakeshore goals with Logan Harvey set up two of Lavoie’s goals and Cole Brown set up the other. Mitchell Neal’s second goal of the game with four minutes remaining prevented Sarnia Cement from taking the loss. Jacob Wilson was the other sniper. Cole Armstrong earned a pair of assists while Zackary Roehler, Zachary Turner and Jacob Wilson each had one. Both goaltenders Daniel DiFederico (Sarnia Cement) and Jonathan Kameka (Lakeshore) had their moments, coming up with big saves and keeping their teams in the hunt for a win.
