Orange Team Comes Up Just Short in Week 5 Action
Scotiabank Bantam Team #4 Orange played an excellent 2nd half of the game against Team #1 Red in Week 5 of the schedule.  Unfortunately, their slow start was too much to overcome.

Facing a match-up with the only other Bantam team that had yet to play, the Orange Team just couldn't get the start that they wanted.  Team Red scored 2 Goals in the first Period and added another, early in the 2nd Period, to take a commanding 3-0 lead.

At the mid-point, Team Orange woke up and found their legs.  Chase Nickels scored an unassisted goal at the start of the 3rd Period to get Orange on the board.  Michael Handy added another Orange goal (with an assist from Aiden Matuzic) to pull Orange to within a goal, trailing 3-2.  Orange had several GREAT chances to even the score but just couldn't slip another one past the Red goalie, Noah Ferrera.  Orange goalie, Brayden Bedard, made several solid stops in the 3rd Period to keep the Orange momentum going.  Just when it looked like Orange was about to tie, Red added an insurance goal and the final score was 4-2 for Red.

The Orange team has now played each opponent once and sports a 1-3-1 record.  The teams hopes to improve on
that record as they have another shot at each team.  Keep working hard at practice and the results will come!!
