Busy Week Ahead!
The team played great on the weekend. The results certainly don't reflect the effort put forth by every player on the team. Beast Mode stickers were earned by Matt "Bam Bam" Schrie, Hayden Skinner (55lbs of Hot Sauce and Jalapenos) in the morning game and Lynken Vosburg who faced 37 shots in the Sunday afternoon game that ended in a hard fought 3-1 loss.

Deanna is waiting to hear from 5 or 6 families regarding the Murals in Metal Sting Logo's so we can finalize the order with Jordan. Even if you don't want one or haven't sold any, just send Deanna a brief text to 519-402-0235 with your intentions (that means you Coach T).

The closed group Sarnia Sting Major Atom MD Facebook page is proving to be very popular. Thank you all for contributing to it. The vid clip that Jenn posted of the boys leaving their dressing room yesterday doing their cheer is awesome. Someone please force Ren to accept the inevitable and join Facebook so she can see Jagger and all his friends. Make sure the grandparents etc are part of the group as well. We have it set up as a closed group for the privacy of our kids so that customers that frequent Coach Voz's place of work don't linger around. I hope this is working for everyone.

Hockey this Week:
There won't be any dryland training on Wednesday night this week so the boys only need to be at the rink by 6:15pm for a regular on ice practice from 7pm til 8pm.

The Bauer Invitational Hockey Tournament starts this weekend. If you copy and paste this link: https://bauerinviteboysab.gameonmobile.com/organization/2849/league/2806/schedule it should take you to our schedule page. We are Team B2 in the Squirt B Division with 8 other teams. We play two games on Friday, 1 on Saturday morning and again on Saturday afternoon based on how the first 3 games go. You may be confused by the location for Friday's games. PA#2 means Progressive Arena #2 or the cold small ice at the RBC Centre as I refer to it. Wendy has copied and pasted the schedule from the website to the Facebook page as well.

Here's the Schedule:

Friday Nov. 4th / 11:45AM @ PA#2 (RBC cold arena) vs Grosse Pointe Bulldogs
Friday Nov. 4th / 8:15PM @ PA#2 (RBC cold arena) vs Chicago Jets
Saturday Nov. 5th / 10:20AM @ Clearwater Blue vs Mooretown AE

Here's the Tricky Part: If I've read the schedule correctly, the other Sarnia Sting team (OHL) is playing Sault Ste. Marie on Friday night on the big ice at 7:05pm so parking will be messy considering we need to be at the rink by 7:15pm. I'm not sure if it's possible but it might be time to break out your Flex Pack and reserve a table along the glass in Legend's Restaurant facing our game to keep you warm and in a celebratory mood.

Future Fundraising: We're just over 1 month away from our Chuck A Puck Night. It will be on Friday, Dec 2nd versus the Flint Thunderbirds. All proceeds raised from Chuck A Puck will go directly to the team. We need to really work at Pre-Selling the pucks prior to the game. Our obligation to get a Chuck A Puck night is that the team has to purchase 60 tickets for the game (3.5 tickets per family). The boys get to throw the pre-sold pucks onto the ice and scoop them up. They'll be wearing their jersey's and they need their helmets/facemasks to go on the ice. It's a great family night and a great way to raise $500+ for the team. More details to follow this week.

Future Away Games: We go back to St. Catharines for 1 game on December 11th at 4:15pm. The team is checking into the affordability of a bus trip. There may be a small cost involved with this but we're all paying for gas anyway. If you have any experience or connections chartering a bus, please contact me. I hear that some have wifi capability (extra charge of course LOL). Imagine how much quieter the trip would be. We'll keep you posted on this one.

Have a Spooktacular Halloween and lets see some costume pictures on Facebook!
