Atom '09, 2019-2020, B/BB (Sarnia Hockey)

Congratulations to the Major Atom MD team for winning the Championship at the Buffalo River Outdoor Classic this past weekend.  In a hard fought final game against the Whitby Wildcats, the team battled thru a 4 on 4 overtime, to win the game in the fourth round of a shootout!  Benytt Vosburg #77 scored the winning shootout goal, with Mike Lajeunesse #31 stopping all four of the Wildcats shooters.  Jakob Prozorowicz #8 earned the tournament MVP for the team.  It was a team effort by all the players to bring home the GOLD!!  Congrats boys, you earned it!!!

Good start to the season for the lads.  Tie with Oakridge after a good back and forth battle on the ice. New tender, Nathan McCartney had a great debut in his first game of travel hockey!  Congrats to Nic Ficht on scoring the season's first goal for the team!  Lots more to come!!

Excellent effort by all the players at tryouts today.  I was impressed with the battle drills and the work put in by all players.
