U10 BB Continues to Impress!
Once again the boys in Black & Yellow deliver against the best in Alliance Hockey!
The Sarnia U10 BB were in London this past weekend to compete in the Doug Jarrett Memorial tournament, and the kids came to play.
We saw excellent goaltending as per usual by Brody Sommise and Hunter Allison, and an outstanding tournament for all of the kids! Plenty of hustle and grit and resiliency when things didn't go our way they barred down and got better!
Honorable mention to Ben Smith for a big tournament in the goal scoring department, and Ewan Spowart for stepping up to play defence in some big games for us!
After delivering a 4-0 clean sweep of the round robin we beat a very good division rival (Cambridge) in the semi finals to punch our ticket to the gold medal game.
We ended up with some "puck luck" issues in the finals falling 5-4 to Kitchener Blue, and a few big stops by their goalie to keep their team on top.
All said and done though the boys should be very proud of their efforts this weekend as we have demonstrated we can hang with anyone at any time!
This was a great preview of what is to come in the Alliance Championships where I am confident we will be playing our best hockey.
We ended up with Silver around our necks but a golden performance this weekend boys and you should be very proud of yourselves as I know the coaching staff is!
