Great performance by the team in Black and Yellow this weekend at the Motown Cup in Detroit.

Although the youngest team in our pool, the team played great against bigger teams and held their own.

We started the weekend by the team watching the Montreal Canadians play the Detroit Red Wings at Little Ceasers Arena on the Thursday night before the tournament where the Canadians beat the Wings 3 to 2 in overtime.  For several of our players, this was their first NHL hockey game.

When we took the ice, we finished the round robin at 2-1-1 which put us in second place.  We came up short in the final falling 4 to 1 to the Avenue Road Ducks.

The team should be very proud of their efforts this weekend as we have demonstrated we can play with anyone at any time.

We had silver around our necks but a golden performance this weekend and you should be very proud of your performance.
