The competition between all four teams in the Sarnia Hockey Association Midget Tier 2 house league play-off action was tight in week 17.


Both Beehive Windows and Doors and Lakeshore Optimists had to settle with a 5 all draw.

Dylan Schroeter and William Lee had a goal and an assist each for Beehive. Tyler McNaught, Jacob Cunningham and Peyton Demarco also tallied once. Clayton Peters added two assists to his stats while Alexander Tanguay and Jamie Roberts each added one to theirs. Bryce Smiley provided two goals for Lakeshore while Joshua Glass earned a goal and an assist. Rounding out the scoring with singles were Logan Harvey and Bryce Dummitt.  Goalie Kenny Portiss (Dante Club) provided the goaltending in back to back games and gave a solid performance. Lakeshore goalie Jonathan Kameka also had a strong effort between the pipes.

The Dante Italo Club was formed by a group of new Italian immigrants on April 10, 1958, in the City of Sarnia. Their goal was to: Provide a meeting place for all Italians from different regions of Italy who made a new home and life in the Sarnia-Lambton area. Exchange cultural and recreational ideas. Ensure that the Club continues to grow into a social, cultural and recreational facility for all its members and future generations. HISTORY The Dante Club incorporated on April 10, 1961 .flag In 1961 the Dante Club purchased a parcel of land on London Road. This land became the new home of the club. In 1962 they purchased an adjacent piece of land to provide more space for a new building. In March of 1967 construction of the new building began. On January 13 and 14, 1968, the Dante Club held an open house to the public. January 20th, 1968, a gala was held to celebrate the grand opening.
