Bristol Minor Bantam Finalist
What an amazing Season and one we will soon not forget. At the beginning of the season, 17 individual kids were selected to play hockey on the Sarnia Jr. Sting Minor Bantam team, by the end of the season, these individual kids had become a team. During their regular season, they won 24 games and tied 6, finishing second in their division. They also became the Canadian Tire Classic Tournament Champions.

During their playdowns, the team's strength and strong chemistry continued, winning 3 straight in the first series against The Waterloo Wolves.

In the second series vs. the Burlington Bulldogs, the team won the 1st game, tied the 2nd and lost the 3rd. They knew they needed to win the next two games to make it into the finals. Going into the last two games they where short teammates, with 2 on school exchanges, one hurt and one on suspension, but that didn't discourage them, it just made them stronger. They knew their teammates where coming back and there was no way, they were going to let them down. They won the next 2 games against the Bulldogs. The Sarnia Jr. Sting Minor Bantam team were headed to the finals!

The Finals vs. Stratford was an unforgettable series. The team still short players, lost the first two games, but came back to win the next two. Still short one player, the team tied the next two games. Going into the 7th game each team had 6 points. During the seventh game, both teams went back and forth for three periods, each with one point and finally in the 1st overtime Stratford took the Championship scoring their 2nd goal.

Regardless of the outcome, this team won and lost as a team and undoubtedly has created memories that will last a life time!

P.S.  The team picture of the last games will be added to the web site sometime this week.
