Devils close out January with a BIG Win!!
The Dante Club Devils finished off January on a winning note with a solid win over Plater Financial (Royal/White). Mitch Guerette played his best game of the season leading the Devils offence!!
Guerette not only scored a Hat Trick, but added one more in the 3rd Period for 4 goals!! Declan Ritchie also added a Hat Trick, netting 3 of his own. Chase Nickels added 3 points (1G, 2A). Other goal scorers were Chris Blair, Tyler Glavin and Alex VanSickle. Nate Snauwaert also added 2 assists. The defensive core of Nick Cotton, Tala Snauwaert and Brent Menheere played another solid game, giving up very few chances. Though held off the score sheet, wingers Matthew Davies and Aaron Coene paired up for another outstanding performance, playing several entire shifts in the offensive end. Brayden Bedard stopped every shot he faced with the exception of a great effort by Owen Dufour who found an open corner for the lone Royal Blue goal.
After the first half (7 games) of the playoff schedule, the Devils sit solidly in 2nd place in the standings, only 1 win (2 points) behind the first place team. Good luck on the 2nd half of the playoffs Devils!! Go get 'em.
