Novice Tier 1 Tryouts
Hi Everyone, Coach here.

I'd like to welcome everyone to this year's tryouts.

Try out dates have been finalized and are as follows:

Thursday, May 4th (Sarnia Arena) 5:00-6:30pm
Tuesday, May 9th (PASA Rink #1) 7:00-8:30pm
Monday, May 15th (PASA Rink #1) 5:00-6:30pm
Wednesday, May 17th (PASA Rink #1) 5:00-6:30pm
Sunday, May 21st (PASA Rink #1) 6:00-7:30pm

Players from last season - Please bring your black and white jerseys.

Please register at the table on the first day with the Player's position he would like to play for the entire season!  Last year was a transition from Tyke House League to Novice Travel and we all (myself included) had a lot to learn.  This year, players need to understand that our team will be much more serious on positions.

Please Note: Positions are not guaranteed!  Kids and parents need to be aware that we are putting together the pieces to make a great team and players will be placed where the coach sees fit.  Choice of position could influence decision making.

After the second skate on May 9th, a cut will be posted.

Parents and players need to be aware of what they are signing up for.  I first and foremost emphasize on developing a better hockey player and making it a lot of fun along the way.  However, I'm looking for players that are enthusiastic and who always want to be here!  This is a serious time commitment and you need to be aware that there will be a contract for the parent/player to sign.  Attending practices, being on time for warm ups and listening to the coaches are just some of the things that are expected.  Players need to realize that earning a spot in the dying moments of a big game requires hard work ALL OF THE TIME!

The season is long, with lots of hockey and lots of fun!

Thank you,

Coach Rob
