Comeback Falls Short
The Atom A/AA Hockey Club hit the road Wednesday night, travelling to West London to do battle with the Hawks. After a very slow start, falling behind the Hawks 4-1 after 2 periods, cue the comeback!! The Sting got their "3rd period legs" & began to dominate & frustrate the Hawks, pinning them in their own end for the bulk of the 3rd. Quinn Beauregard got the offense started scoring a huge goal. Jimmy Simpson added a beautiful, back handed goal cutting the lead to 1. Unfortunately, thats where the comeback ended for the Sting. Ryan Janssens also scored on a perfect deflection early in the game. The boys learned a valuable lesson in West London....
