Team Lehder Tastes Defeat!
Team Lehder had their first taste of defeat this morning losing to Giant Tiger 9-1. The game was hard fought and full of tense moments that could of swung the results the other way. The team was out shot 29-12. Steven Bolton faced a shot on goal almost every 30 seconds of game play. Lehder's sole goal this morning was unassisted by Aiden Smith. Valiant attempts were made on Giant Tiger's net minder Derek More by Adam Walker, Brady Pepper, Jess McNaughton, and Kody Heaman. Aiden Newkirk had an outstanding 2nd period breakaway with a stretch pass from Lehder's goal line. Kaden Johnston dug in deep at center filling in for the short Lehder bench.
All in all it was a great game. Lehder showed their high dedication and integrity in a league match up that is bound to produce plenty of highlight moments this season.
