In
the Midget/Juvenile tier 1 action, Cathcart Dental picked up their first win with a 7-4
over Sarnia Cement.
Spencer Baillie provided a hat trick for Cathcart Dental while Jacob Cottam tallied with a pair. Joshua Bressette chipped in with a goal and two assists and Benjamin Pozdyk rounded out the scoring with a single. Mitchell Neal, Logan Harvey and Tyler Oudman drew one assist apiece. Goalie Daniel Brush (12/16) backstopped his team to victory. Matthew Raes answered with a goal and two assists for Sarnia Cement. Both Cody Lunn and Kyle Robertson supplied a goal and an assist while teammate Caleb Bourgeois rounded out the scoring. Clayton Peters garnered one assist. Goalie Colby Ramsdale provided his services in the first period stopping 10 of 12 shots before an injury forced him out of the game. His counterpart Lennox Jagoo stopped 24 of 29 shots. In game two, Lakeshore Optimists remain undefeated after a 6-4 win over Lehder Environmental. Both Tim MacNaughton and Mackenzie Fiddy tallied with a goal and an assist for Lakeshore. Jayce Barnaby, Nick Cooper, Jacob Serratore and Sebastian Grondin each netted singles. Both Duncan Taylor and Naaman Burwell chipped in with an assist. Collin Zimmer tallied twice for Lehder while Carson Payne and Zach Roehler tallied once. Mathew Dunn garnered two assists and Tyler Kapteyn, Jacob Cunningham and Logan Tardif each had one. Goaltenders Cameron Stevens (Lakeshore) & Nick Budden (Lehder) played great and kept their respective teams in the game.
