midget/juvenile tier 1 Joshua Bressette enjoyed a four point game with two
goals and two assists as Cathcart Dental doubled up on Lehder Environmental
8-4.
Spencer Baillie netted a pair of goals and added an assist. Brendan Bouterse also scored twice while Tyler Oudman and Ben Pozdyk supplied singles. Goalie Daniel Brush also picked up an assist in the win. Providing the offence for Lehder were Craig Vanderlaan, Jacob Cunningham, Zack Turner and Collin Zimmer. Tyler Kapteyn and Jacob Wilson garnered one assist each in front of goalie Nick Budden who gave a valiant effort. In game 2, Jordy Grondin’s goal with one second remaining, in the game, gave Lakeshore Optimists a 5-4 victory over Sarnia Cement. Naaman Burwell lit the lamp twice and both Mackenzie Fiddy and Nick Cooper added singles. Both Jacob Serratore and Curtis Steeves earned an assist. Spencer MacKinlay scored a hat trick for Sarnia Cement and Payton Demarco rounded out the scoring. Clayton Peters had two assists and both Bryce Dummitt and Caleb Bourgeois earned one. Both goaltenders Cameron Stevens (Lakeshore) and Lennox Jagoo (Sarnia Cement), had their moments, coming up with big saves keeping their teams in the hunt for a win.
