The first game of the midget / juvenile tier 1 division,
it was a tight game between Lakeshore Optimists and Lehder Environmental as the
teams were tied 1-1 after 20 minutes and 2-2 after 40 minutes.
Eventually Lehder would win 5-3 at the buzzer. Collin Zimmer had a goal and an assist for Lehder. Mathew Dunn, Carson Payne, Jacob Cunningham and Logan Tardif rounded out the scoring. Ian Bailey was credited with an assist. Goalie Nick Budden picked up the win. Tim MacNaughton scored twice for Lakeshore and Mackenzie Fiddy was the other sniper. Eric Capes supplied two helpers and Naaman Burwell and Jordy Grondin both had one. Max Musico strapped on the pads for Lakeshore. In game two, Sarnia Cement topped Cathcart Dental 9-4. Caleb Bourgeois and Logan Harvey each netted a pair of goals for the winners. Spencer MacKinlay added a goal and two assists while teammates Cody Lunn and Devon Oliveira earned a goal and an assist. Matthew Raes and Matthew Desrosiers finished the scoring with singles. Clayton Peters was credited with an assist. Goalie Lennex Jagoo earned the win. Brendan Bouterse answered with two goals and an assist and Logan Johnston also scored twice. Dallas Henry, Spencer Baillie and Alexander Tanguy were each credited with a helper.
