MacNaughton scored a hat trick as Lakeshore Optimists beat Sarnia Cement 5-2
in the tier 1 Midget / Juvenile house league.
Nevan Smith supplied a goal and two assists and Jayce Barnaby rounded out the scoring with a goal and one assist. Duncan Taylor was credited with a pair of assists. Goalie Cameron Stevens picked up the win. Devon Oliveira opened the scoring for Sarnia Cement with Cody Lunn and Clayton Peters drawing the assists. Clayton Peters also scored on a solo effort. Goalie Lennex Jagoo gave a valiant effort. In game two, Cathcart Dental struggled against the league leaders Lehder Environmental after having no goalie for the contest in a 15-4 ousting. Carson Payne contributed seven points scoring five goals. Collin Zimmer lit the lamp four times and added a helper. Zach Roehler also supplied five points netting a hat trick. Jacob Wilson earned a goal and three assists and Zack Turner finished the scoring with a goal and two assists. Connor Post chipped in with five helpers while Jackson Burrows had two and Tyler Kapteyn had one. Goalie Nick Budden was between the pipes for Lehder. Alexander Tanguy answered with a pair of goals for Cathcart and William Lee and Nathaniel Broad had singles. Spencer Baillie had three assists and both Dallas Henry and Steve Schaefer had one.
