Jr Sting Split Weekend Home Games
The Jr Sting Bantams split a pair of home games in the final weekend of action before Christmas. Sarnia beat Kitchener Blue 3-1 and then fell 6-3 to the Hamilton Huskies.

In the Saturday contest the Bantams played hard and came away with well earned victory. Scoring for the home team were Kyle Vince, Justing Riley-Meyer and Matt Stevens with assists going to Vince, Zach Vanderwal, Morgan Halcovitch, Jack Johnston and Dylan Lavoie. Brody Dummitt put in a solid effort between the pipes to help earn the victory.

On Sunday the Jr Sting welcomed the gritty Hamilton Huskies to the cramped confines of Germain arena for an intense and penalty filled afternoon contest. After falling being early by a score of 3-0 the home squad continued to battle drawing within one goal twice, at scores of 3-2 and 4-3 before the Huskies put things out of reach with two late third period goals. Scoring for Sarnia were Stevens, Vanderwal and Halcovitch with assists going to Lukas Simon with 2 and singles to Vince, Vanderwal, Jacob Caughlin and Tyler McLean.

The Bantams will have a few days off to enjoy Christmas with family and friends before heading to Hespeler to compete in the annual Hespeler Olympics Christmas tournament.
