6th Game Update
Hello Team and Parents, Another well played game again this week , we might have come up short in goals scored but certainly not in team effort!! From the bench I witnessed multiple players contributing both offensively and defensively. Lets start with how Matthew Ray was blocking shots and saving goals while playing defence, Landon Williams, and Alex Campbell also playing well on the blue line by not only keeping the puck inside the offensive zone but also clearing the puck from in front of our netminder.

Speaking of our goalie Leland Williams , I was impressed not only with his game but by how he out skated the entire team for half the rink before they caught up to him and piled on to show their appreciation and team spirit!!Once again James Robbins continues to frustrate the opposing team with his defensive abilities , by continuously stealing the puck away from the opposing team as they try to get around him I believe the Police might be called by the other teams coach, lol. Each week we see James wind up and blast that slapshot from the point , good job and keep it up as it will find the net eventually. The 2 goal scorers this week were once again Jimmy Lawrence who continues to find the net, also this week we were treated to an on ice celebration of the year by Kaleb Orrange who had an empty net as he was in perfect position to score on a rebound, excellent play Kaleb and we have sent that celebration video in to TSN and Sportsnet for their highlight reels!! Team wise Grayson Levy sent forward a pass to Keaton Appleldorn for a nice scoring opportunity, well done boys! On the bench Jordan Brooks watched intently as he picked out some bad calls by the referees and also some nice plays by our team. Nice to see the interest on the bench, by watching we can also learn the game better a good point for all players and coaches. Jordan also had a feed pass from Kaleb that sent him in for a break away. Lets also remember that the referees will make both good and bad calls but again they are also learning and will make mistakes like all of us do. If you did not see your name this week just keep reading each week and you will!! After the game I was politely approached by a parent with a good suggestion for our team, I was impressed that the parent felt comfortable enough with the coaching staff to approach myself and further more his attentiveness watching the game and wanting to be involved with the team. We would like to say to every parent to please also feel comfortable to approach any staff member with any questions or concerns as it is welcomed!! GO BEAST GO!!
